Becca Becker, Youth Ministry
I was born and raised in Northern Virginia, about an hour
outside of Washington DC. I recently moved to Fairmont after marrying my husband, Luke.
Growing up, I was taught the basics of the faith but never quite understood why we believe/do certain things. My faith was tested when I went off to play Division 1 collegiate soccer at the University of Kentucky. The culture that surrounded me really made me start to question the Catholic Church. Mid-sophomore year of college, I witnessed my best friend, Erinn, come to know the love and care that Jesus has for each one of us. Erinn walked with me, teaching me about the sacraments, prayer, the Saints, scripture and much more. I realized I was missing the most important thing about Catholicism, a personal relationship with Jesus…knowing Him changed everything. I am now passionate about helping young adults understand the fullness of our faith and how adventurous a life with Christ really is!
I have worked for FOCUS (Fellowship of Catholic University Students) for 5 years, 3 of which I was an on campus missionary working with college students. I love giving talks, leading bible studies, and playing anything where I can get competitive.

Joe Maidl, Custodian
My name is Joe Maidl.  I am the Maintenance Technician  on the St John Vianney campus.
I live in Fairmont with my wife, Erin, who is an SJV alum.  Our children have also made the Fairmont area their home.  Our son, Joey and his wife, Ashly, along with our grandson, Jebidiah, live just outside of Fairmont.  Our daughter, Ryann, her husband Jon, and their daughter, Kyndall, live in Fairmont, also.  We are very blessed to have family so close.
My other passion is conservation and habitat and cultivating that passion in our local youth.  I am able to do that by being the President of the Martin County Pheasants Forever Chapter.
I was with Old Dutch Foods for 25 years before coming to SJV.  I came to SJV in November of 2022, and I am looking forward to being a part of the SJV family for many years to come.
